♦️REVIEW: It was an extremely difficult read...and difficult to rate. I liked the premise of the story and it was well written but reality of the H's situation was unexpected and gut-wrenching.

Lilith, the h hires Caleb, the H as a male escort several times...for sex but sometimes just to spend time with him. Caleb is a sex slave that was forced into prostitution several years ago along with a couple of his friends. They are now held prisoner, given drugs, forced to attend hardcore sex parties, abused, tortured, raped by men and women, sold, rented out, some even killed and they fear for their lives. The H enjoys his time with the h and they develop feelings for each other but he fears for her safety if they get too close. The h finds out about the H's situation and tries to save him and take down the bad guy and the entire operation.

There were some very sweet and sexy times between the h & H.

♦️WARNINGS: Several very graphic, extremely disturbing scenes & topics. Rape. Several scenes where H is forced to have sex with men & h witnesses his degradation.

Dark and Intense

This story is dark and intense but also has a sweet and innocent side. Lilith is a rich girl and her ex-boyfriend was verbally abusive to the point where she thought she was unable to have sex. She hires Caleb, an escort, through a friend of hers. As Lilith and Caleb grow close she wants to know more about him, which could be dangerous for both of them. Please note there is a warning with this book, so be prepared. The characters are fabulous and the story draws you in, it is dark and emotional but the time Lilith and Caleb spend together is sweet and sexy. A great read! Looking forward to more.

This book is not perfect, yet I feel compelled to give it a five stars review. It's true that the characters could have been better developed but I loved the fact that the story is different, dark but very sweet. I have found myself going back to reread some parts of the book after I finished it. It's an imperfect book that gets to you.

Great book!

This book was great for our 8,7,4 year old who are always comparing everything with each other. They enjoyed the illustrations and we had a good discussion about the message of the book. Two of our children have special needs that require some extra attention and this book helped illustrate we love all our children just the same, and give them what they need.

David Barnett is Reader in Drama, Theatre and Performance at the University of Sussex, UK. Barnett elegantly shows how Brecht's theatre practice was always tied to his theory of why theatrical art should be produced. Based on his extensive research in the Brecht Archive, Barnett offers detail after detail about Brecht's collaborative methods, all aimed at changing the audience's view of the world. About the Author
Deepak M. Kamat, MD, PhD, FAAP, received his MD and PhD from the University of Bombay, India and then completed his residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric immunology and bone marrow transplant at the University of Minnesota. He also served as the program director for the combined Medicine/Pediatrics program at the University of Minnesota. Currently, he is a professor at the Carman and Ann Adams Department of Pediatrics at the Childrens Hospital of Michigan and Wayne State University. He is also the vice chair of education, director of the Institute of Medical Education, and program director for the International Health Pathway and Pediatric Global Health Certificate program. Dr Kamat is honored with many teaching awards by medical students and residents at the University of Minnesota, at West Virginia University, and at the Childrens Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University. He practices general pediatrics, clinical immunology, and international health.

Dr Kamat is the lead editor of the Point-of-Care Quick Reference on Pediatric Care Online™. He Kamat is appointed editor of the Index of Suspicion Section of Pediatrics in Review from July 2008, and he is an associate editor of the AAP Textbook of Pediatric Care.

Henry M. Adam, MD, FAAP: Until recently, Dr. Henry M. Adam was a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Hamilton College and studying as a Woodrow Wilson Foundation Fellow at Yale University, he graduated from the State University of NY-Upstate Medical Center in 1979, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following pediatric residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC, he was a Fellow in general and behavioral pediatrics and then joined the faculty at Einstein.

He has directed the Pediatric Outreach Program (1984-86), the AIDS Day Care Center (1987-90), and the Pediatric AIDS Primary Care Program (1990-94), all at Jacobi Medical Center. As an educator, Dr. Adam directed the pediatric residency training program at Montefiore Medical Center (1994-2002), has received the Lewis Fraad Teaching Award, and has been elected to the Leo Davidoff Teaching Society.

Deborah Campbell, MD, FAAP, is Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Program Director for the fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and Director of the Division of Neonatology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She conducts the Low birth weight infant Evaluation and Assessment Program (LEAP) and has served various leadership roles at the American Academy of Pediatrics, New York State Association of Regional Perinatal Programs and Networks, NYC Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council, and Greater New York March of Dimes Health Professionals Advisory Board and National March of Dimes.

She is a member of the Greater New York Hospital Association Perinatal Safety Collaborative Advisory Group, the National Quality Forum Perinatal Collaborative, and the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative Neonatology Expert Workgroup. She also serves on the NYS Palliative Care Education and Training Council, an expert panel that has developed guidance and advice for the New York State Department of Health on best practices in pain management and end-of-life care. She served as a member on the AAP Taskforce on Implementation of Newborn Hearing Screening and the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Program. She is currently co-chair of the Bright Futures Guidelines, 4th edition Infancy Expert Panel.
